We are proud to be involved in the Badger themed calendar and greeting cards project to raise money and support for the Save Me Trust, founded by Dr. Brian May and Anne Brummer, to protect the welfare and dignity of wild animals and address the issues affecting wildlife today.
The idea for a Badger themed calendar and greeting cards project to raise money for the Save Me Trust was stimulated by Nicholas Prosser, a previous producer on EastEnders, Emmerdale, Brookside and others, while he was working on contributing a set of 12 verses to the Badger Watch newsletter, a section of verses from his forthcoming book “Through my lens”. Nicholas thought it would be great to develop a calendar and set of greeting cards to both raise the issues facing wildlife, such as our own iconic Badger, and to raise funds for a relevant charity addressing these issues: Hence the Save Me Trust. Nicholas is contributing his set of verses to be included in the calendar. These
As part of this project, Mobi are hosting this competition for people to contribute images, pictures and photos to put on a calendar and a set of greeting cards to raise money for the charity and to raise awareness of wildlife in the UK.
So what are we looking for in submissions? – anything Badger based! So any badger related images, pictures and photos. They can cover badger activity through any of the seasons. They can include pictures of young cute badgers, or fully grown badgers, that can be serious or fun pictures. Furthermore, they should be interesting.
You can submit a single picture or a few together. If you are submitting more than one picture, then it would be best to put them all in a Word document together and upload that.
Please note that all pictures and images submitted must be your own and that you own the copyright!
Winners of the competition will have their badgers pictures included in the calendar and a set of greeting cards which will be used to raise funding. There will be a selection of at least 13 winners for the calendar, and we aim for at least 10 winners to go into the set of greeting cards. The winners will receive a copy of the calendar and set of greeting cards. There will be an overall winner for the calendar and an overall winner for the greeting cards who will also receive a further prize.
The pictures and images will be reviewed by a judging panel of wildlife and arts ‘experts’, with shortlisted entries going to the final judging panel consisting of Brian May, Nicholas Prosser and Brandon Hunt.
